MyDost

Privacy Policy

This is a working draft describing what MyDost collects and why — not final reviewed legal text. What we collect • Account basics: phone number or email (via Firebase sign-in), and whatever you add to your profile. • Verification documents: a government ID photo and a live selfie for KYC, a similar pair for traveler verification, and a license photo if you register as a guide where one's required. These are reviewed by MyDost admins to approve or reject your verification — they are not shown publicly. • Location: only while you're on an accepted booking and you've explicitly turned on "Share my location" — it's visible only to the other person on that specific booking, for that booking's duration, and is never used for discovery (discovery only ever shows a city area, never an exact location). • Chat messages: stored so both sides and MyDost's safety team can refer back to them if needed (e.g. a dispute or an SOS alert). • Content you post: photos/videos, all captured live in-app. How we use it To run the matching, booking, payment-holding, chat, and safety features described in these policies, to verify who you say you are, to respond to reports and SOS alerts, and to improve the product. Who we share it with Service providers that make MyDost work: Firebase (authentication, push notifications), Cloudflare (media storage), and a payment processor for handling paid bookings. We don't sell your data. Your choices You can edit or delete your profile content at any time. Verification documents and chat history tied to a booking are retained for safety and dispute-resolution purposes even after you edit your profile. Contact support if you want to request deletion of your account and data.
